Why I Will Always Be Proud Of My Best Friend

Two Girl Best Friends Leaning and Hugging Each Other

Written by Haven Simnit (PoP’s Former Social Media Manager)

On December 26th, I flew down to Florida to spend a week with my best friend, Remy, who I haven’t seen in over a year.

Spending time with her always makes me feel at home no matter where we are.

She is such an avid Jesus follower and is so beautiful, both inside and out. I love being around her because I feel as if she’s a sister to me.

We love the same things and we are always so supportive of each other when something exciting happens.

We are also each other’s best confidants. We tell each other everything, and we support each other no matter what. I’ve watched her blossom as a person and I couldn’t be happier for her. She’s loving, while also completely honest and I love that about her. She’s assertive while also humble. She never puts herself first and always offers everything she has. Whether it’s to an activity or Christ.

She is taking active steps in her church, and I got to be a part of them that weekend which was a lot of fun!

On Saturday we helped out with children’s ministry, and then on Sunday morning we went to service and worshipped like we were at a Hillsong concert! The sermon was good, and we went out to lunch after fellowship with her friends!

I look at the life she’s built for herself in Southwest Florida, and I honestly couldn’t be prouder.

I want to challenge everyone reading this to leap outside your comfort zone. Try to better yourself in the eyes of the Lord and follow His path for you. I want you to pray a dangerous prayer: Pray that He makes you uncomfortable to make someone else comfortable.
