My BetterHelp Journey Part 2

Couple Holding Each Others Hand

BetterHelp has been an incredible journey and so healthy for my relationship.

My most recent online counseling session happened in the Sea World parking lot. I used my hotspot to pull up my counselor Colleen on the laptop and had my fiancé Noknoi on my phone's FaceTime. We had a very deep conversation about the intersections between our faiths and how we think about intimacy in our relationship.

We spent an hour talking though several questions that challenged us to directly face issues we haven't discussed continuously. She pushed us through the discomfort to where we learned about each other on the other side. It deepened our relationship.

This is the power of having a counselor.

Colleen says, and I agree, that her job is not to tell us what to do. Instead she guides our conversation so that we come up with the answers ourselves. Sessions with Colleen help us find what we need to prioritize through our sessions. I know we are going to have a more intentional and successful marriage.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to grow like this while I’m with my family in San Diego at Sea World and my fiancé is in Thailand.

If you are in a relationship and want to take it to the next level I highly recommend the power of BetterHelp for couples and premarital counseling. I have to say they matched me with a perfect counselor to help us traverse exactly the things we are going through.
